Pharmacy passed the class 12th Examination (10+2) from Recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics/Biotechnology Subjects as compulsory three subjects, with at least 45 % marks (UR Candidates) and 40 % marks (SC, ST & OBC of Chhattisgarh). For Admission to B. Pharmacy, It is Mandatory to have English as one of the Subjects in Class 12th.

PPHT Exam: Admission to pharmacy courses in Chhattisgarh requires qualifying the state-level CG PPHT (Pre-Pharmacy Test) conducted by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CG Vyapam).

Career Options after B. Pharmacy: At present, students can gain great career opportunities in the field of pharmaceuticals and pharmacy. There are ample job opportunities for graduates in several fields like pharmaceuticals industry, hospitals, clinical research, and education. Hence, students have a wider range of career options.

Pharmacist (Community/Hospital): This is the most traditional, yet still vital, role. You’ll be responsible for dispensing medications, counseling patients on their proper use and potential side effects, and ensuring medication safety.

Pharmaceutical Industry (Production, Quality Control & Quality Assurance): This area offers the highest volume of job opportunities for B. Pharm graduates, focusing on supervising the mass production of solid, liquid, and injectable dosages.

Pharmaceutical Sales & Marketing: It’s a competitive field, but for those with strong communication and people skills, it can be highly rewarding with good incentives and career growth.

Food & Drug Inspector: It’s a prestigious government job offering strong job security, steady income, and the chance to make a real impact on public health.

Clinical Research Associate (CRA): A Clinical Research Associate plays a key role in overseeing clinical trials, making sure that the studies are conducted according to medical guidelines and protocols. They ensure the accuracy of data and that patient safety standards are maintained throughout the trial.

Higher Education: Apart from getting into Government and private sector jobs, students can also get higher education after a B Pharm degree like M. Pharmacy & MBA.

Entrepreneurship: If you have a passion for business, you can choose to start your own retail or wholesale pharmacy, pharmaceutical company, or healthcare consultancy and become an entrepreneur in the pharmaceutical industry. This path allows you to be your own boss and bring your ideas to life.

AI Ready & New Career Scope: The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has modernized B. Pharmacy curriculum by embedding cutting-edge computational and AI skills to prepare graduates for the evolving health-tech landscape. This integration shifts pharmacy education away from purely traditional roles, opening doors to highly lucrative, data-driven careers. Armed with these competencies, graduates can now step into specialized positions such as AI Drug Discovery Scientists predicting molecular interactions, Clinical Data Analysts managing massive trial datasets, Clinical Research Associates overseeing tech-enabled patient outcomes, and Healthcare Startup Entrepreneurs equipped to innovate within the startup ecosystem.
